Bergen County Professional Headshots

Do you know that I offer professional headshots at my Ridgewood photo studio? I don’t share headshots sessions here often (hardly ever!) but I do love doing them. Here are a few images from a recent headshots session and the reason I decided to share them is the review of her experience this client of mine shared. So instead of me telling you how great my headshots sessions are you can read it all in my client’s words on google.

And if you don’t feel like clicking that link, here is what she wrote:

“After many disappointing and uncomfortable photography sessions over the years, I braced myself to “expect the worst but hope for the best” when I booked a session with Lena Antaramian. But right from the start, this was different. The Live Love Laugh website was clearly professional and reflected an aesthetic that overlapped with my own. That checked off a box. Lena emailed me back immediately when I reached out to her, explaining how she works, setting expectations, and asking questions about how I would describe what I’d like to portray. Check off another box: wants to know about my goals. From our initial emails to our actual shoot, Lena infused her professionalism with good humor and an abundance of energy that kept the entire process upbeat, positive, and, yes, even fun. Lena has a collaborative style that really sealed the deal. She took a few pics and showed them to me to see if we were both on the same page. When we changed props or poses, again, she would show me what the first few shots looked like before we proceeded, giving us both the opportunity to change direction if the pictures weren’t to my liking. Talented, collaborative, with a sense of humor, and sensitive to my concerns…what’s not to love…my headshots are the best ever. I will recommend Lena to all my friends and colleagues. LIVE.LOVE.LAUGH.LENA”

So if you are ever in need of headshots in Bergen County – you know who to call!:)

Downtown Ridgewood Teen Photo Session

I’ve been a Bergen County family photographer for many many years and it’s true that most of the families I photograph are families with young-ish children. But as a mom of teens I firmly believe that having family sessions with older kids is just as important as having these sessions with younger kids. Sure, teens are not always cute and cuddly as toddlers and forget about even suggesting possible photo shoot outfits to them… But teens have got so much to offer – they can be fun and funny and if you get to know them – really cool!

This family photo session session with two older girls was such a treat! This family lives in Ridgewood (this photoshoot was a gift to their Dad – and what a nice gift it was!) so we decided to do the photoshoot in Ridgewood – after all we live in such a cute town and it makes for great backdrops for family photo sessions.

I’ve photographed these guys years ago when they were little and it was really cool for me to see and photograph them now – they sure look very differently from our last photo session! They were so easy to photograph and I can’t tell who had more fun at this session – the girls (and judging from their smiles – they did have fun) or I !

2023 Photo Sessions Highlights | Bergen County photographer

Every January I look through the sessions I did the year prior and put together a video of highlights (don’t worry – if you ever asked me not to share your images I respect that and images from those sessions are not included of this video). Last year I did everything from family photo sessions, children photo sessions, headshots sessions, commercial photo sessions and personal branding sessions.

Want to see awesome people I got to work with last year? Then check out this video!

Another Industry Recognition!

Guess whose images received an Honorable Mention at ClickinMoms Voice International Photography Competition this year? This girl’s!!!

You may think ‘enough with these competition already, how many time can she write about them?!’ It does seem that I’ve received a lot of recognition this year – I guess I am pretty good at what I do:). But in all seriousness, Voice competition receives around 40,000 entries every year and only 500 of those are placed or awarded ‘Honorable’ mention so the fact that two of mine made the cut makes me very very happy!

A Quick Trip to London

My kids are high school sophomores now (how did this happen??!!!) and before we know it, they will be away in college. I am still wrapping my head around that but in the meantime I am trying to fit in as much family togetherness as I possibly can.. And of course for us that means family travel!

This November break Victor could not get away (his work schedule is not nearly as flexible as mine!) so I figured this would be a great opportunity for a mommy/daughters trip! I wanted a destination that would be easy to do in four days and we chose London because my kids have not been and it’s a great city! In 4.5 days we had there we did, ate and saw ‘all the things’!

We did touristy things such as a walking tour and seeing the sights

and not so touristy things such as vintage clothes shopping at Brick Lane:

We got some culture in at the British Museum and the National Gallery:

And had proper afternoon tea, pub food, indian food and all in between:

We saw shows (Cabaret is a MUST in my opinion and I am still singing songs from Les Miserable) and saw tons of beautiful Christmas decorations:

We saw colorful buildings of Notting Hill and red lanterns of China town:

It was a great trip and I feel so fortunate that I was able to do it with my kids!
