Bergen County Family Photo session at the Stable in Ridgewood, NJ

I’ve been photographing this Bergen County family for years and years (since 2015 to be exact!) and it’s always such a treat to see them, to catch up with the parents and be amazed at how grown up the kids look!

I first met them when K. was just four years old and now she is a proper tween! And her brother just a bit shy of two and now he is double digits! Time really flies and watching these kids grow never ceases to amaze me!

We chose one of my favorite Ridgewood spots as a location for their Bergen County family photo session. I love showing a variety of settings in my clients galleries and I think this spot is perfect for family photoshoots because there are a few different areas that make for different backdrops for families photos.

During the session we caught up on everything that’s been going on (including their new dog!!!), laughed some and captured fun images. In addition to digital images and canvases these guys always purchase an album with their photos and I just love that – I truly believe that photos are meant to be printed and looked at and I know that these photos will be enjoyed for many many years!

And if you agree that this is a great Bergen County location for YOUR family photo session then reach out to me and let’s work together to capture photos of your family!

Bergen County Graduating Senior Photos in Ridgewood

As you can tell from my website and blog, I am a Bergen County family and children photographer and photographing families and children is what I do most.

And as a family photographer one of my greatest joys is watching the kids I photograph grow up and mature and change. I’ve been photographing this girl since she was FIVE and it was so surreal to do her senior photos. I will be honest – I got teary-eyed at the end of her senior photo session!

Since she lives in Ridgewood and goes to Ridgewood High school, we decided to do her senior photo session at the high school. RHS is beautiful on the outside (although my kids tell me that inside is another story!) and makes for a perfect backdrop for Ridgewood senior photos. Most of the graduating seniors I talked to, were more than ready to be done with high school but I am sure that they all would appreciate having their high school captured in photos and looking at them years down the line.

Older kids are not in photos that often and it’s so good for them to have professional photos that truly reflect who they are – in addition to standard senior photos you get at the high school. And think about how nice these images will look in their senior yearbook:)

So if you live in Bergen county and are interested in booking a senior photo session in Bergen County reach out to me – I would love to work with you and your senior!

Lake Como Photoshoot

Whenever we go on a family vacation I always try to find a photographer in the area and do a photoshoot there – family vacation memories deserve to be captured! And the same is true for trips when we leave our kids behind and go away as a couple – and let me tell you – I love those trips as much (and if I am being honest – sometimes even more) than big family trips!

So when we were planning our vacation to Lake Como I booked a photoshoot for us there and I am glad I did. Our photographer took us to places we never would’ve found and I am thrilled with how the photos turned out.

You NEVER regret investing in your memories so if you need a sign to book a photoshoot – whether it’s a Bergen County family session with your truly or a photoshoot in a far away place with your significant other – consider this a sign and do it!:)

Our Trip to the Last Frontier

I dub the Summer of 2023 The Summer of Travel – it seems I am hardly home these days! A couple of weeks after we got home from Northern Italy and literally a day after I got home from attending NAPCP Gallery event in Atlanta, my family and I flew to Vancouver to hang out there for a few days and then to take a cruise to Alaska!

I’ve been to Vancouver once for work but given than I was working I hardly saw any of it so it was great to explore this place. The weather cooperated and we saw and did #allthethings – we checked out the aquarium and Stanley park with its cool totem poles, ate delish food at the Granville Island Public Market and got our fill of exotic treats at Richmond Night Market, explored Gastown and Canada place :).

And then we boarded a ship that would be our home for 10 days and set course for Alaska!

We walked all over Juneau, had delicious all you can eat snow crab (I learnt my limit was 2 lbs!), and admired beautiful scenery:

took a helicopter to a top of a glacier and went sledding with a pack of alaskan huskies in Skagway:

went Kayaking in the Pacific in Sitka:

saw lots of totem poles in Icy Straight Point:

were in awe of the scenery in Glacier Bay:

saw tons of bald eagles and lots of different crabs at the Deadliest Catch Trip in Ketchikan:

The best part of this trip was that we were able to do it with my parents and my sister’s family! I think I enjoyed family time as much as I did the scenery and the food:). And here we are in all our Alaskan glory!:)

Party of Five: Wyckoff family photo session

I first met this Dad when he came to my studio this year for his professional headshots. A couple of months later this Mom reached out to have her professional headshots done as well. And a few months after that I met the rest of their family when we did their family photoshoot!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again – I love at home family sessions! I love them because people are really the most comfortable at their homes and capturing them in their environment, doing things they love to do makes me happy. I believe my job as a photographer is to capture the essence of people, to freeze moments and create photos that will allow my clients to relieve times in their lives that were chaotic but also full of joy; days of carpools and tons of activities but also days of family game nights and dinners together, playing basketball in the backyard and making chocolate covered strawberries.

And that’s exactly what we did at this Wyckoff family photo session. I got to spend time with each one of these triples – (as a mom of twins who barely made it through their first year I am in AWE of these parents who had not two, but THREE babies to take care of at the same time) and learn just now different they all are. I got to capture them playing with their dogs and shooting hoops and cooking together and laughing – there was a lot of laughter at this photo shoot!

If you are located in Bergen county and are looking for a family photographer to photograph your own family please reach out – I would love to help you capture the beauty and chaos that is your family!
