HUGE Industry Recognition | Bergen County Award Winning Photographer

Remember a little while ago I shared a very exciting news that TEN of my images were selected as Top 100 in by National Association of Professional Children Photographers ? The final round of judging of this competition and a gallery event celebrating all Top 100 images took place in Atlanta at the end of July.

With so many of my images being on display I just had to go Atlanta to attend this event and see all prints in person. And I am so glad I did – not only it was wonderful to see works by so many talented artists from all over North America and catch up with friends I’ve made over the years, I found out that one of my images got a second place in the Portrait category! To say I was thrilled about it is an understatement 🙂

This portrait was created at my Ridgewood photography studio and is different from the work I usually share here, but I gotta say – I love playing with studio lights creating moody portraits at the studio. So if you are interested in Bergen county studio photography – don’t hesitate and reach out!

Living La Dolce Vita | a week in Northern Italy

This year is our 20th anniversary and when Victor suggested we go to Lake Como for our anniversary trip I jumped on the idea. Generally we don’t go on a couples vacation in the summer but when your husband says ‘how about we go to Lake Como?”, YOU GO TO LAKE COMO:)

I absolutely LOVE Italy – we went there for our honeymoon and have been back a few times. We’ve explored a few areas – Rome, Venice, Tuscany, Amalfi, Dolomites and Sicily but have not been to the Lake Como area. And when I’ve heard about a place called Food and Motor Valley (the Emilia Romagna region) I just knew that we had to get there as well (if you know me, you know that I LOOOOOOVE food!!!).

We had the best time – Lake Como is as beautiful as everybody says it is, Milan exceeded our expectations (the view from the top of Duomo and seeing The Last Supper were some of the my fav experiences of the trip) and Food Valley was absolutely delicious (I think I gained 5 lbs in a week!), Parma, Bologna and Modena were beautiful and virtually tourists free! We drove around narrow streets, marveled at stunning cathedrals, lounged by the pool, took in amazing views, drove a ferrari, slept in, had wine and balsamic vinegar tastings, drank lots of Lambrusco, ate a lot of gelato and too much delicious food to mention. Northern Italy has my heart and I cannot wait to go back!

Hanging out with ‘old’ clients in the City

One of my favorite things as as a family photographer is seeing kids grow and change – from newborn to babies, to toddlers to little kids, to big kids! That’s one of the reasons why I always love seeing ‘old’ clients and it was a pleasure reuniting with this family for a family photo session in NYC. I’ve worked with them twice before – once when baby A. was just a few months old and then again last year – when she was just under a year. I was blown away at how much she has changed in just a year – from an adorable baby she turned into a little girl (complete with the most adorable pig tails!) – her stunning eyelashes and adorable smile stayed the same:)

We hung out on the playground – I am always amazed at how ‘busy’ toddlers are – going from one ride-on toy to another, picking up things, and just running around. We all did a fair amount of running that day! And after the playground we went back to the apartment to capture images similar to what we did at their photoshoot a year ago.

If you love images from this family photo session, reach out to me to capture your own magical moments, whether it’s against the backdrop of New York City, charming streets of downtown Ridgewood or in the comfort of your own home anywhere in Bergen County.

Cousins galore | Ridgewood Extended family photo session

When a old time client reached out to me and told me that she wanted to book a Ridgewood family photoshoot with family visiting from France I jumped on this idea.My sister does not live close by (although she does not live as far as France!) and I know how special it is when she and all her kids come to visit – everybody catching up, my kids spending time with their cousins – it’s always so much fun and so special. And you better believe that I have tons of photos of these visits:). So naturally I was thrilled to be able to capture that for a client.

We decided on a downtown Ridgewood for this family photoshoot – I’ve done many sessions there and always love it – it is so charming with many cute areas that make for beautiful backdrops for any time of photo-session from a family one to senior photos! These guys were great to work with and judging by their smiles I don’t think they had too bad of a time at their family photo session:)

If you are interested in a Bergen County family photo session like this one, don’t hesitate to reach out to me and see what fun images of YOUR family we can create together!

Bergen County Professional Headshots

Ever since I opened my photography studio in Ridgewood back in 2013 (time FLIES!) I’ve worked with so many people all over Bergen county to create their headshots. I’ve worked with real estate agents and interior designers, corporate executives and small business owners, authors and recent graduates, aspiring artists and models and everyone in between! I’ve worked with new clients who came to me just for headshots and returning family clients who turned to me when they needed headshots. Headshots are very different from family work that I am known for but I gotta say that I absolutely love my headshots sessions! My Ridgewood photography studio is a perfect place for it – neutral colors, lots of ‘seating’ options to choose from, great natural light (and those who are looking for something more dramatic – studio light!) and of course – you get to work with ME, who’s been doing headshot sessions for 10 years now:)

Ok ok, enough bragging! In this blog post I want to spotlight a recent headshots photoshoot for one of my returning clients whose family I’ve been photographing for over a decade (wow that makes me sounds kind of old, does not it?!!). She is a corporate exec who was looking for headshots that showcase her style and personality, make her look approachable yet professional. And I think we succeeded in achieving these objectives:)

Are you looking for a Bergen County headshots photographer? Then look no further because my Ridgewood photo studio is a great place for professional headshots.
