Ridgewood First Communion Photos

I’ve known this handsome guy for years and have photograph him and his family a number of times. So it was very special for me to do his First Communion Portraits. We opted for an outdoor session at their home in Ridgewood- fortunately the weather cooperated! And while Mr. A. was the main focus of the pictures, we got some family images and pictures of his little sister, who is just full of personality:)

My Own! – Seven year old portraits at the studio

It took me a MONTH (as Alexa kept reminding me) but it is better late than never and this week I finally took the girls to my photo studio for their 7 year photo shoot. Even though they don’t always want to have their pictures taken (they suffer from an acute case of PCS (Photographer Child Syndrome) and they don’t always cooperate, I still love doing their birthday photo shoots, documenting what they are like at this age, what they like to read, what they like to play with and see how much they change from year to year. And of course we always take pictures with Big – their teddy bear that the girls’ve had since they were 5 months old!

I did not think that they’ve changed much from last year, but seeing their 6 and 7 year old pictures side by side made me realize that my babies are definitely not babies any more, their faces lost last traces of baby fat, they thinned out and grew, they lost baby teeth and got grown up teeth and now they definitely are BIG girls. Of course I knew that, but seeing these pictures and comparing them to last year ones made me feel very nostalgic… I love having 7 year olds but it is OK to miss my 6 year olds, right ? 🙂

Ridgewood newborn photographer – First family portrait at Ridgewood studio

I LOVED meeting beautiful baby M. and her parents for her newborn photo session at my Ridgewood photography studio a few days ago. She was a perfect little model and I love all the traditional newborn images we got with her – check back soon – I will be sharing them on the blog later on!

If you are interested in having your newborn child photographed at my natural light photography studio in Ridgewood Bergen County, it is best to schedule your newborn session while you are still pregnant – to ensure a spot on my calendar. To get typical newborn images of cuddly sleepy babies, it is best to have your professional newborn session done as soon after the birth of your baby as possible. I usually photographer newborns at my Ridgewood photography studio as early as 3-5 days after they are born.

Lifestyle photo session in Ridgewood – Capturing family memories

Remember these fun family images? Here are more images from this wonderful family photo session with a Ridgewood family of three. These guys wanted lifestyle, very natural images, that I am known for. We decided to split up this session between James McFaul Environmental Center in Wyckoff and downtown Ridgewood. In the park we got beautiful (and very FUN, if I may say so myself!) images with soft golden light and in downtown Ridgewood we were able to capture the energy of our cute little down and got more ‘urban’ looking shots.

I loved working with these three – they are as fun, laid back and a bit goofy (in a good way!) as they come across in their images:) And they are so in love with each other and their sweet baby boy, who I had the pleasure of photographing at my studio earlier this year for his one year photo shoot!
