I cannot believe that I have not shared images from this Ridgewood urban family photoshoot till now.  But better late than never right?  🙂

This photo session was very special to me.  The Mom of this family and I worked together YEARS ago – at my first out-of-college job in business and IT consulting.  We kept in touch when I left that job and I did see her from time to time but I think had been close to 10 years since we last saw each other.  So I was very pleasantly surprised when she reached out to me out of the blue to book a photo session.  Originally this photoshoot was supposed to be for her older daughter K. who was getting ready to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah.  But I convinced them to turn it into a family affair – with focus on K – and they were glad I did because they LOVED having family pictures.

These guys wanted an ‘urban’ look for their images and I recommended having their family photo session in downtown Ridgewood. They live in NYC but did they not mind a quick ride accross GW Bridge to see me in Ridgewood.  If you live in Bergen County and looking for an urban look for your family or children photo session a downtown Ridgewood is a great place for it.

The Mom told me that she loved her whole experience – starting with her session packet that arrived in the mail – she said that it was really beautiful and informative and made her want to take pictures with me every month.:)  And here is what she wrote when she saw her images: ” I am speechless. These pictures are gorgeous. You are so talented!!!”  I have to say it was really special for me to photograph someone from my ‘prior life’, someone who knew me as an IT and Business consultant (which I was pretty good at) and have them see me do what I LOVE to do  – i.e. capturing beautiful memories for families!
