In my heart I was and always will be a lifestyle family photographer – family photography is what a lot of clients all over New Jersey come to me for and this is what I am known for in Ridgewood, Wyckoff and other surrounding towns in Bergen County.  But since I opened my Ridgewood photography studio back in 2013 (I cannot believe I’ve had a studio for close to 5 years now!) I discovered my love for simple portraits and for studio photography.  There is definitely something to be said about classic portraiture – simple, no props, just capturing children (and families) as they are.  And that’s why I love photographing kids at my Ridgewood photo studio – especially in the winter!

I met this duo a  few weeks ago when their Mom brought them to my Ridgewood studio for their session.  In the session questionnaire the Mom said that both kids were a bit shy and very close to each other.  Their shyness went out the window literally a few minutes into the session; little sister K was full of sass and her big brother L was thoughtful and entertaining.  I could see the bond between the two right away – in their hugs and play fights and just the way they were with each other.
