I am back from my epic Asian trip (more on that later) and one of the first orders of business for me is to share a pretty cool newborn photo session I did recently.

I’ve been a family photographer in Bergen county since 2009 and have always loved on-location photoshoots.  I love photographing families outdoors (there are so many beautiful places for photoshoots in and around Ridgewood NJ) but I think my favorite sessions are the ones that take place at my clients’ homes.  And out of those my absolute favorite sessions are those with repeat clients.  And what if you add in a brand new baby into the mix?  Well, it can’t get better than that!

So you can imagine how much I loved this at home newborn family photo session that we did at my client’s home in Ridgewood.  I’ve worked with this family a number of times over the years – from the time little Ms. E. was shy toddler.  It is always such a pleasure watching her grown and change and most recently – seeing her taking on a new role – that of a BIG SISTER!  I love lifestyle newborn photo sessions and they work so well for families with other siblings – I did some directing but mostly these guys just did their own thing, enjoying life as parents of two – or doing as much ‘enjoying’ as you can with a newborn that wakes up several times a night:)   There was lots of giggles (I can still hear Ms. E laughing), the baby was an absolute perfect and Mom and Dad – as happy as ever.  I really am so fortunate that I get to share in my clients’ joy and capture this special time for them!
