Photographing a family of five in Wyckoff New Jersey | Bergen county photographer

Did I tell you how much I love watching ‘my’ families grow?  I am sure I did but let me tell you again – I love it a whole lot!  I first met these guys when they were a family of three – to celebrate their baby’s first birthday!  I then photographed them again a few months later when a new member of the family – sweet L. made her arrival.  There were a few sessions after that and finally it was time to do a family photo session to celebrate the youngest member of the family – handsome N. turning one!

Originally we planned this session for the end of March but Mother Nature did not want to cooperate and it was either raining or SNOWING (at the end of March!) so we decided to push the session off to May. I am glad we did because it was beautiful out – with flowers in full bloom – think Mother Nature tried to make up for all that snow and rain earlier in the year:)

I seriously am AMAZED at how much and fast kids grow – it seems to me that only yesterday I was photographing big sister’S E. first birthday session and now she is a very mature girl ready to go to kindergarten!  And the same with her sister – from a tiny newborn and a one year old she turned into this beautiful sweet girl!

Having two girls myself and seeing my own husband as a Dad of girls it is always extra special for me to capture that connection between Dads and their little girls – and this Dad was SO sweet with this girls – it really melted my heart!  He was pretty great with his little guy as well:)  And the Mom – seriously – how AMAZING she looks – after having THREE kids!!!  She is pretty great with her kids as well:)

These guys ordered canvases with every one of their sessions and one of the canvases was a close up of each child at their first year photoshoot.  And I love knowing that now their ‘kids portrait’ wall is complete with three beautiful one year portraits of their three wonderful kids!
