Here is a session spotlight of a wonderful Mahwah family/maternity session I previewed already.  This was my very first time working with this family (and their first ever professional photography experience) – but I am sure it won’t be our last time working together!  They were referred to me by another wonderful Ridgewood family that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the last couple of years.

In their Session Questionnaire this Mom described themselves as very outdoorsy so I knew that they really wanted images taken outside of their home in their stunning backyard.  We scheduled their session a while in advance and would not you know it – there was a huge rain storm in the area the day of their session.  So we rescheduled it and hoped for better weather – and once again, Mother Nature did not cooperate.  But my dance to the sun and rain gods seemed to have worked because on the last rescheduled date the weather was absolutely PERFECT!

From the moment we met at their Pre Session consultation I knew that I would have a great time with them.  Little E. (who is now a big sister already!) is beautiful, silly, funny, very sweet and has a HUGE personality!   She is just a bit younger than my own girls and I definitely knew how to make her laugh:) She warmed up to me right away and as her Mom told me later, after the session she kept talking about me.  Looks like I’ve made an impression on her just as she did on me:)

Mom and Dad were so loving, laid back and SOOOO easy to work with!   They were completely relaxed in front of the camera, were up for anything and even laughed at my jokes:)

To say that this session was fun is an understatement – it was LOTS and LOTs and LOTs of fun! There was lots of laughter, silly jokes, jumping, running, bubbles blowing and popping, tickling, ball playing, dog chasing, hugging, cuddling, swinging and more.   I am pretty sure they had a great time at the session – don’t you think? 🙂

And a few weeks after the session this Mom gave birth to a beautiful and absolutely PERFECT little boy!  I am looking forward to photographing them as a family of FOUR in the future!
