Empty beach and a tea party – family fun in Spring Lake

I did a sneak peek of my first beach session of the year a few weeks ago and here is a proper session spot light of it.  I generally don’t travel down to the Shore for family sessions , although I am thinking about offering a session or two at the Shore while I am down in Ocean City in April.  But these guys are old clients of mine – I photographed their first daughther’s newborn session – and when they called me and asked whether I would be able to drive down to Spring Lake to photograph their family of FOUR, I could not say no.  I love watching my clients’ families grow, seeing how much kids have changed and meeting new family members.

Last I saw Cecilia was at her newborn sessions when she was two weeks old.  Seeing her now, as a happy and a very talkative toddler was pretty surreal – it was as if I travelled in a time machine!  And while there is a huge difference between a newborn and a two year old, I  could definitely see the beautiful newborn I photographed a couple of years ago in this little girl.  I could not stop marveling at her talking, running, smiling and being ‘a big girl!’.  Her little sister Nathalie was such a sweet heart with beautiful green eyes, long lashes and adorable smile!

We spent some time on the beach and then went home for some images on the porch, where Cecilia did an excellent job serving tea to everyone:)

And after the session was over, Victor and I spent the afternoon in Spring Lake – having a leisurely and a very delicious lunch and exploring the beach!  So it was a perfect combination of business and pleasure!
