Fourth of July – the suburban way | New Jersey photographer
Every year we have family over for a big family BBQ but somehow this year everybody was away so instead we had ended up doing not very fourth-of-july-ie but very fun nonetheless activities.
It started with an outdoor backyard movie night. With a degree in Engineering from MIT and a law degree from NYU it took Victor and our next door neighbor over an hour to put set up out outdoor movie theater! It was well worth the effort because watching a movie with the kids in the backyard for two nights in a row (completed with home-made movie tickets, popcorn, snacks and drinks for kids and adults) was pretty awesome!
The girls had a blast playing soccer during a very heated game of backyard Soccer World Cup (Cameroon vs US an in case you are wondering – US won!):
We also did a day trip to the City – where the girls had a blast running after giant soap bubbles,
posing for a portrait (that did not look much like Mia in the end):
listening to a beautiful performance at Bethesda Terrace:
and climbing rocks!
It was such a lovely weekend! Hope your Fourth of July was fun and safe!
