Ice

Growing up in the Republic of Georgia I did not see a lot of snow and that’s probably why every time we did get snow it was special, magical.  I remember walking home from school, catching snowflakes, throwing snowballs…I LOVED snow.   But this winter proved that too much of a good thing is NOT a good thing –  8 snow storms since Christmas will do that to you:)

This week Mother Nature decided to mix things up a bit and instead of a regular storm we were hit with an ice storm.  It makes for terrible driving conditions but for beautiful images.   This image was taken with my Canon 70-200 mm lens – I rarely use it in-doors but it was perfect for photographing a tree from inside my house:)
