I loved loved loved this Signature family session that we split between Indian Trail country club in Franklin Lakes New Jersey and their home in Ridgewood.  These guys have not had their family and children portraits updated in a while and were definitely due for a photo session.  During our pre-session consultation the Mom said that she did not want anything overly posed or stuffy and that since they are very casual people they wanted lifestyle family images of them spending time together as a family, with kids goofing around, laughing, etc.  And that’s exactly the type of family and children portraits we’ve got!

We met up a couple of hours before the sunset when the sun was low to the ground and I was able to capture this beautiful golden light in the images.  If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know how much I love backlit images!

I had no problems making the kids laugh with my long arsenal of silly jokes!

It is amazing what different personalities these kids have.  Her Mom described this little one as ‘sassy’ and I definitely saw a lot of sass during our session:)  She is hilarious and definitely the life of a party!

The oldest one – the big sister as my kids would call her – is a Dreamer.  She was so sweet and loved being my ‘helper’ and making her brother and sister laugh.

And this guy was described as a sweet boy!  During our pre-session consultation when I asked the Mom if she had any particular images she wanted me to capture, one of the things she mentioned was little B. ‘s giggle – I was thrilled that I was able to get that image for her.  Every time I look at it I can hear him giggling:)

I LOVE this silhouette image – after many years of marriage and three kids look how in-love these two are!

This was a wonderful lifestyle family session and we captured a lot of great images!
