Photographing three stunning sisters in Ridgewood | Ridgewood children photographer

It is safe to say that all holiday cards have been mailed so I can finally share a few images from this Ridgewood family session I had in the fall.  The main objective of the session was to capture these three beautiful sisters but being a family photographer I convinced Mom and Dad to be in a few pictures.  And I am so glad I did (this image from their Ridgewood family session is one of all time favorite family images!)  I LOVE the way their family images turned out and so did the parents!

I say it time and time again – I am SO lucky because I get the most amazing clients.  These guys were so sweet, considerate, laid-back and fun!  When I came to their house for their 8 AM session all FIVE of them were ready!  It may not seem like a big deal but I know first hand that getting children ready first thing in the morning takes take, and trying to get THREE kids (six and under) ready requires a lot of discipline – so needless to say I was really impressed!  But I digress:)

I LOVE this Mom’s sense of style – I did offer my styling service to her (as I do for all my Signature Sessions) but I cannot take any credit for these outfits – all of them were picked out by their Mom.  They look like three little models – in their ‘formal’ dresses as well as their casual outfits.

The girls had a blast showing me how they can read, jump on beds, play with their unicorns and just being silly.  I gotta say that I do pretty much anything for a picture (with parents’ permission of course) and one of the things that I KNOW always gets great smiles is jumping on beds.  Now I don’t allow my own kids to do that at home (unless I am taking their pictures) but the kids I photograph don’t know that.  So apparently, after the session, the middle girl was so impressed by me letting her jump on the bed that she told her : “Her (referring to me) is a better Mommy!”   Good thing she did not talk to my girls about the bed jumping because then she would’ve known the truth and probably would’ve changed her opinion of me:)
