Awww – how I love soft and dreamy backlit images!  And since I am all about capturing family connections, family photography is my favorite kind (although there are a ton of close runners-up).  So you can imagine how much I love lifestyle family sessions that are scheduled in the evening when the sun is close to the horizon, the light is golden and very pretty.    This was one of these sessions!

I met this family of five for their first ever professional family photo session in one of my favorite parks in Wyckoff, Bergen County.   They’ve never had a session done before and opted for a Signature Family session – so that we could spend enough time capturing each of their three adorable kids and their relationships.  Before the session this Mom and I exchanged so many emails/texts and spoke on the phone talking about outfits, poses, possible locations for the shoot and I felt that I knew her even before I met her in person:)

I loved spending time with them, telling jokes (AND hearing jokes by the boys), watching parents cuddle their sweet little girl, spending time as a family AND as a couple!
