Dynamic Duo turns One! | Bergen County studio photography

I love photographing babies and toddlers but as a mom of twins I have a special place in my heart for twins photoshoots and absolutely loved seeing this adorable due for their one year old photoshoot at my Ridgewood studio!  First year is such a HUGE milestone (surviving the year of babyhood – especially with twins – deserves a big celebration!) and doing a photo shoot to capture this milestone is a great way to celebrate it!

I first saw these twins in December when they came in to my studio for their Christmas pictures.  It was amazing to see how much they grew and changed in just a couple of months!  I’ve said it many times and I am sure I will say it again – babies change so much in their first year and if you don’t capture that, their baby faces and funny expressions will be gone before you know it.  You don’t need to go to a professional every month to photograph your baby (but if you want to, I will be thrilled to do it for you) – just grab your camera and capture these fleeting moments!  But I digress:)

Seriously – how adorable are these two?  Their Mom is in the fashion industry and that clearly shows in the outfits she picked out for them – these kiddos looked really stylish!  And they were happy and funny and very squeezable – I definitely snuck in a few cuddles in between taking pictures:)

Photographing teenage sisters at the Ridgewood studio

I am known throughout Bergen County as a family and children photography and most of the children I photograph are young – anywhere from newborn to 7 or 8 year olds.  So it was a nice change to photograph these beautiful teenage sisters at my photography studio -they came in to get pictures for their Christmas cards. I did not need to make funny faces or tell them silly jokes – instead we just talked about school, sports and colleges.

Family Christmas photoshoot at Ridgewood studio

It is holiday season which means that I’ve been meeting and photographing lots of adorable kiddos and sweet families at my Ridgewood studio!  For this year’s holiday sessions I decided to do several set ups – but the main theme was winter wonderland.  I love white and gold and sparkly lights and that’s what I used as an inspiration for this year’s holiday sessions – it works well for Christmas cards as well as Chanukah and New year’s cards.  And the kids do love playing with my reindeer and snow balls – all in the comfort of a warm photography studio:)

These boys and their parents wanted to get pictures for their Christmas cards as well as a few family pictures and I loved photographing them!

So Happy Together | Tenafly family photographer

Check out this awesome Bergen County photo session that I had in Wyckoff recently.  To say that this family knows how to have fun together is a major understatement.  They have SO MUCH FUN together – I could see it just a few minutes into their family photo session.  The parents are so laid back and easy going; they were so natural at their photo shoot – just enjoying time with their kids.  And the girls were hilarious and very easily amused -especially the little one – all I had to do was just to look at her and she would burst out laughing:)   These girls have the most amazing laughter; even now, a couple of weeks after their session, I look at their images and still hear them laugh:)

This Mom and Dad may look familiar to those of you who live in Ridgewood – they own Kidvelle – a great place to bring your little one for classes, playtime and anything and everything toddler and kids development related.  And as every single business owner knows, family time is so precious so this Mom was especially excited about the opportunity to spend quality time with the kids.  And after the session she sent me a note thanking me for the photoshoot and telling me how much fun they had together.  And having my clients tell me that their photoshoots were FUN as as important to me as producing great images for them because I believe that a great family photo session is not just about getting wonderful family pictures, but it is about spending time together as a family and enjoying each other’s company – I am there just to document it all!

They all were so happy to be spending this time together and comfortable in front of the camera – all I did was just capture that!

Holiday family pictures in Ridgewood

Here is a session spotlight of a Ridgewood family photo session I had recently.  These boys are the most well-travelled kids I know.   They’ve already been to so many countries with their parents and I loved chatting with them about game drives in Africa, travels in India, eating Japanese food that was NOT sushi in Japan and their upcoming trip to Australia! We chose downtown Ridgewood as a location for their family photo session – our town looks beautiful every season!

The Mom says that little brother adores his big brother and I think I captured their special loving relationship in the images.
