My  girls turned TEN on February 26th… I still have a hard time saying that I am a mom of two TEN-YEAR-OLDS!   And to celebrate this momentous occasion we decided to take them to Universal Studios in Orlando!  And what made the trip even better was that my sister’s family (with all of her three kids) and my parents all came with us!  To say the trip was fun is an understatement.   There was lots of swimming in the pool and watching movies (the house we rented came with an awesome home-theater room), Harry Potter talk and late night cousin chats, snuggles and hugs, giggles and laughs.  There were lots of rides (and me screaming my head off on all of them) and butterbeer, giant pink donuts and magic wands, Mardi Gras parades and plenty of beads.   But my favorite part was knowing how much the girls LOVED everything, seeing the amazement on my parents and my sister’s faces when they walked into Hogsmeade, hearing my Dad say that he’d never seen anything like that, seeing fireworks over Hogwarts on the night of the girls’ actual birthday and asking my kids if they would remember this trip for the rest of their lives and Mia responding that she would ‘remember it for as long as she had her memory’.
