When I spoke to this Mom about their Ridgewood family photo session she said that she did not want any posed images – all she wanted was fun and interactive photos of her family.  This was music to my ears because doing at home family sessions in Bergen County and capturing families’ every day moments is my absolute favorite thing to do!  And when she asked me if it would be Ok to capture a kitchen sink bath ritual they do with the baby of the family I knew that this session was be super fun.  And fun (and a bit chaotic) it was!

I arrived at their Ridgewood home bright and early (at 7:30!) and was able to capture their morning routine.  We got everything: from having cereal and listening to kids songs for breakfast to jumping on their parents bed and climbing into the little brother’s crib, getting their hair brushed by dad and getting bathed in the sink by Mom, climbing on windows in the bedroom and jumping from couches in the living room!  It was chaotic and loud and unscripted and absolutely perfect!  This was my first purely lifestyle family photo session in a while and I absolutely LOVED it!

And what’s even more important than ME loving it is that these parents loved it as well!   At their viewing/ordering session, after seeing literally just first TWO images this mom told me that she loved them and wanted to buy them ALL.  And when I joked that maybe she would hate the rest (after all, she only saw two at that time) she told me that feel of the images was exactly what she wanted to capture.  And that made my day!  And yes, she did buy them all:)
