We love to travel so it came a bit of a surprise to us when we wanted to go back to Ocean City New Jersey the year after we first visited.  Now Ocean City is our special place and we’ve been going there every year since the girls were 3.5.   We were not sure if we were going to make it down the Shore this year around because we had a big European trip scheduled over the summer (a separate blog post about it is coming up soon!) but I am glad the place we always rent had availability for over Labor Day weekend and to Ocean City we went!

What made the visit even more fun is that we went with our friends – a family who have twin boys a year older than the girls.  The kids have fun together and so did adults!

we hung out on the boardwalk and had ice-cream (Kohr’s brothers chocolate/vanilla twist dipped in chocolate is my absolute fav!)

spent a lot of time at Castaway Cove – our fav amusement park down here – and Mia proved yet again that she does NOT take after me as she went on not one but TWO crazy rollercoasters!

and spent a lot of time on the beach building sand castles, boogie boarding and playing in the waves:

it was a perfect Jersey Shore weekend and a great way to end the summer of 2018!  Hope we will be back in Ocean City next year!
