Featured NAPCP Ambassador!
After working in IT and business consulting for many years and not really feeling passionate about it I am I am thrilled that I was able to find a second career that I love and that is so satisfying that working does not really feel like work. Being a family photographer truly is my passion and I love it with all my heart! But working for yourself, while very flexible and wonderful on so many levels is not all rainbows and unicorns. One thing I do miss about having a ‘traditional job’ is having a group of people to work with, to chat over a cup of tea, to run ideas by..That’s why I think it is so important to go out there and make connections, join various photography forums and find your tribe. I’ve been a member of NAPCP for over 7 years now – it is a wonderful community of professional children photographers. I’ve went to a NAPCP retreat in Santa Barbara last year, met a whole lot of amazingly talented people and have been pretty active in this forum since then. And when I got back from Santa Barbara I applied to be a NAPCP ambassador and was thrilled to be accepted. I was one of featured NAPCP ambassadors in this issue of NAPCP Inspire Magazine!
