A party of Four – Holiday Pictures in Wyckoff

Here is a sneak peek of a fall family photo session I had with this Tenafly family.  We met bright and early one chilly Saturday morning and despite the early hour and freezing temperature we had a blast!  They laughed at my jokes and then told me jokes and I laughed at them.. and for the rest of the day I had ‘yo-momma’ jokes in my head; I have to say that some of them are pretty funny!:)

Here is what this Mom said in her pre-session questionnaire: “I found the website by chance and loved the photos in the portfolio. They were genuine, artistic, fun and loving.”  I think the images we got from their photo sessions can be described as genuine, artistic, fun and loving, don’t you think?:)

Ridgewood photo studio and outdoor session | Photographing long time clients

Can I just say how much I love seeing and photographing this family?  I first met them 3 years ago when M. was still in her momma’s belly and since then I’ve photographed them more times than I remember – I think we are on our 8th session!  It is so amazing for me to see M. turn from a beautiful newborn to a smart, funny and just as beautiful girl who is full of personality.  I love how she remembers me when she seems me at a photo session and how she wants me to stay over at their house for a sleep over:)

Just like last year, this year we decided to split M. 3rd birthday photo shoot between several locations to get many different images and settings.  We started at my Ridgewood photography studio, then headed outside for outdoors family pictures (there is a beautiful bright blue door right of my studio – and it makes for a beautiful backdrop for family images!) and then went to downtown Ridgewood for a few more outdoor images.

M. is hilarious and has so many sweet expressions that I was able to capture.  She is in a very girly phase right now so of course we had to get pictures of her in her tiara and her ‘gown’ – her words!   There were tickles, lots of snuggles and laughter, silly faces and pouty lips.  This girl is SO LOVED and I think these images capture that!

Non Traditional family portraits in Bergen County

I’ve been meeting so many wonderful Bergen County families who come to me for their family photo sessions!  These guys found me online and loved my portfolio.  We had a few phone conversations prior to the session and I felt that we connected over the phone as well.  So when I finally met them for their family photo session in Wyckoff I almost felt like I knew them!

These parents really wanted to get lifestyle-y unposed family pictures (which is what I am known for!) and they also wanted to capture the kids at this point in time – and I am pretty good at that as well, if I may say so myself:)  I think these images capture the joy and love this family has for each other and needless to say the parents LOVED the images!

Ridgewood lifestyle photo session | New Jersey professional photographer

Can I just say how much I LOVED this Ridgewood family photo session?  This is my fifth session with this awesome family – every time I photograph them I feel that the session I just did is my favorite session. And of course this was the case this year – I absolutely love the images we got and now this is my favorite session of this family:)

This year we decide to split up the session between their Ridgewood home for fun images with their house and downtown Ridgewood – for some urban shots.  That’s a great thing about my Signature sessions – they don’t have to take place in the same location and so many of my clients take advantage of that – and get a great variety of images and capture places that are meaningful to them!

This family loves lifestyle family photography and so do I – and I had a blast photographing parents and kids doing what they do best – having fun together.  There were kites and bubbles, chocolate chip cookies and peek-a-boos, hugs and cuddles and even some upside-down action:)

I love looking through these images – I think they capture an idillic childhood and an immense amount of love these kids grow up with!

Chasing rainbows and unicorns amid daffodils in Wyckoff | Ridgewood children photorapher

What do you get when you combine a beautiful Bergen County location and silly, funny and super cute kids?  You get beautiful, silly and all around awesome (at least in my professional opinion!) pictures!  Check out these images from a Wyckoff photo session I had with these kids.

It was so fun spending time with these two!   They are so different – Big Brother J. is sweet and sensitive and in his Mom’s words ‘wise beyond his years’.  And K. is such a goof ball and as her Mom says ‘she is all rainbows and unicorns and is ready to get every last bit of joy out of the day’ – I definitely saw that during our time together!   When I told her that she was the silliest girl I’ve met she replied ‘well, thank you!’:)  But despite being so different they both are sweet and loving, silly and fun and were a joy to photograph!

This session was a birthday gift for these kid’s Dad – and, in my unbiased opinion, nothing can beat the gift of professional pictures:)
